New LED lights are more efficient and cost less to run than other types of lights. Upgrading your lighting from fluorescent, HID, incandescent, halogen, or even old LED lights to more efficient LEDs can provide significant energy savings. To help you make the decision to move ahead with lighting upgrades, we offer rebates for new fixtures, LED tubes, exit signs, and much more.
How We Determine Rebate Amounts
The amount of your Holland BPW lighting rebate is calculated based on the number of kilowatt-hours (kWh) saved by your project. Our application will ask you for specific light types and estimated hours of operation for those lights. The application form will then calculate the estimate annual kWh savings and translate that into a rebate amount. Rebates can range from a few dollars for a single light fixture all the way up to a maximum rebate of $150,000 or 100% of customer cost, whichever is less.

How Does the Process Work?
Request Pre-Approval
To ensure that your project is eligible and to reserve funds, please complete, sign and submit all of the following:
- The Pre-approval Agreement (page 3), completed and signed.
- The worksheet(s) (pages 5-12) that are applicable to your project, completed.
- Itemized quote/proposal with model numbers from your contractor.
Complete Your Project
If your project meets the pre-approval criteria, you will receive a letter indicating funds have been reserved. Following the specifications listed in this application, install your equipment within 90 days. All equipment must be installed and operational by December 31, 2025. To receive your rebate check, a copy of your W9 form must be sent to the email or mailing address below before the project is completed.
Request Payment
Once your project is complete, please request your rebate payment. Within 30 days of project completion, you must submit the following:
- Payment Approval Agreement (page 4 of this application), completed and signed
- Itemized invoice(s) for materials and any applicable external labor costs, including the following:
- Contractor’s name and contact information
- Customer’s name and contact information
- Date of invoice
- Line item cost for each product
- Quantities of each product
- Complete product model numbers
- Labor (and other) expenses listed separately from product costs
- Total invoice amount
