Move In/Move Out

We are thrilled that you are moving to Holland BPW’s service area. We are Holland’s local, not-for-profit, utility. Our services include electric, water, wastewater, refuse and broadband. Depending on your address, you may receive one or more of these utilities from us. We also handle the billing for the City of Holland’s refuse program. So, your Holland BPW bill might also include refuse.

How to Start Utility Service

Starting utility services with Holland BPW begins with a simple phone call to our dedicated customer service team. We also need you to provide additional documentation. Documentation requirements depend on whether you rent or own the property.

1. Call (616) 355-1500 during business hours.

  • 7:30am- 5:00pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
  • 9:00am- 5:00pm Wed

We need you to provide the following information over the phone:

  • Full Name
  • Phone Number
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Old Address
  • New Address
  • Social Security Number

If you are renting, all parties listed on the lease are required to provide their personal information.

2. Security Deposit

A credit check is required for rentals and a security deposit may be needed.

  • We will run a soft credit check to determine if a security deposit is required.
  • Security Deposit payment, if required
    • Cash or money order
    • Must be paid before service starts
    • Payments can be made in person at the Service Center
      • 625 Hastings Ave., Holland, MI 49423

3. Email Documentation

If you are the property owner, you will need to email customerservice@hollandbpw.com:

  • a picture of your photo ID

If you are renting, you will need to email customerservice@hollandbpw.com:

  • a picture of your photo ID. All parties listed on the lease must provide a photo ID.
  • If your signed lease agreement

Stopping utility services with Holland BPW requires a simple phone call to our dedicated customer service team.
