If a product is labeled, 'flushable' it should be no issue to send down my toilet, right?

Wrong! Customers must help control what goes into the sewer, and just because something is labled 'flushable' does not mean it should go in the toilet. Often times, too many of these wipes are flushed at once and can cause problems in private sewer services or sewage lift stations. It can take years, even decades for these to break down in the system.

What other items should I not flush down the toilet?

  • Excessive food waste
  • Greases
  • Rags/towels
  • Any automotive products
  • Flammable materials
  • Diapers and sanitary items
