Starting July 1, 2018, your refuse and recycling, and yard waste bill will be part of your Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) utility bill.

Payments and Billing

After July 1, you will no longer be able to make payments at Chef Container or through trashbilling.com (this includes automatic payments). For all billing and customer service questions after July 1, please call HBPW at 616.355.1500 or visit hollandbpw.com.

First Month's Bill, Direct Payments and Budget Customers

The first month's refuse bill with HBPW may be pro-rated for less than a full month; therefore, lower than expected. However after this, billing resumes for a full month's service. If you are a yard waste customer, billing will now be monthly. If you are a pre-authorized payment customer (direct payment) with Holland BPW, your refuse amount will be automatically added to your Holland BPW bill and taken out on the due date each month.

If you are a budget customer with HBPW, amounts will be adjusted to include refuse.

Chef Container is Now Republic Services

Chef Container has sold its refuse and recycling operation to Republic Services. Residents should not see major changes following this transition and all services offered currently under the city's residential refuse and recycling program will remain the same. Your pick-up schedule will remain the same as will the service options you have selected.
