Powering your Business with Renewables
To help meet your percentage renewable targets, Holland BPW offers the Elective Renewable Energy Rate program.
Purchase up to 100% of your company's electricity from renewable resources instead of generating renewables onsite. For the added cost of only $0.0048/kWh to your existing monthly bill, Holland BPW will retire Reneewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on your behalf to ensure real renewable power is claimed by your commpany and not double-counted elsewhere.
Generating Your Own Renewables
For those who have or will install solar panels on their business or generate power for themselves in another way, Holland BPW runs what is called a “Distributed Generation” program.
This program allows electric customers to generate up to 550kW of renewable energy at your own site using solar panels, combined heat and power, or other technologies. Customers in this program are connected to the Holland BPW electric grid, ensuring the reliability you count on while reducing the amount of electricity you might purchase. Holland BPW utilitizes this program with our anaerobic digester. Gas captured from the digester is burned in a generator at the Water Reclamation Facility to create electricity and offset the plant's electric bill.
