New Construction Rebates

When considering a major renovation or new construction project, we are happy to help you find rebates for new efficient equipment. Most measures fall under the general Commercial and Industrial rebate form as a custom item, however, there is a separate rebate for new construction lighting projects.

Measures Available

Whole Building

Whole Building rebate amounts are stand-alone rebates and can’t be combined with other rebates. This rebate system uses the Commercial Energy Code ASHRAE 90.1-2019 as a baseline model for a comparable building compared to your proposed design. The Whole Building rebate amount is based on the kWh difference between the two models, and the proposed design must be 30% better than code requirements.

Lighting

When building new or performing major renovations, our rebates require a higher standard. For lighting projects, the rebate amount is based on the difference between the proposed and allowed watts in the building code.

Additional Rebates

Some measures listed on the Commercial and Industrial Rebate Application may apply toward your major renovation or new construction project. Some of these measures include:

  • AC equipment
  • Chillers
  • Mini-Split Heat Pumps (SEER 21 minimum)
  • EC motors on a high efficiency boiler
  • VFDs not required by 90.1-2019
  • ENERGY STAR electric-only kitchen equipment

Custom Rebates

Don’t see your process listed? It may qualify as a custom project. Typical custom projects may include:

  • Waste heat recovery
  • High efficiency refrigeration coils
  • Upgraded process equipment
  • Quick freezing

Talk to us about your design if you have any questions. Custom measures will be processed on the general Commercial and Industrial Rebate Application.
